"George" Messick

In fond memory of our dear George, the cat who had a talent for turning the mundane into pure comedy. George, born in 2008, officially adopted us on May 5, 2013, and we quickly learned that he had a personality as big as his appetite for mischief.

George had a unique way of reminding us he was in charge, especially at 3 a.m. when he’d orchestrate symphonies using plastic bags as his instruments. Whether it was the rustle of kibble or the tantalizing promise of treats, George believed that a well-timed cabinet door opera was essential for our culinary education.

However, George was more than just a feline maestro of chaos; he was also an affectionate cuddle champion. No day was complete without his signature headbutt, reminding us that love came with a side of gentle headbutts.

At bedtime, he was known to claim the entire bed for himself, often leaving us precariously perched on the edge. But who could resist those enchanting eyes and a purr that could rival a chainsaw?

On October 15, 2023, George took his mischievous charm to the great litter box in the sky, leaving us with memories that will make us laugh and cry in equal measure.

George, you were the furry conductor of our hearts and the master of our laughter. May you continue your plastic bag symphonies and cabinet door escapades in a world where there are endless treats and all the beds are yours to conquer. Rest in purring peace, our beloved George.
